| Meet Jesus Christ... Son of God... Your Saviour. | |||||||
| Have you ever wondered why you're here... what life is all about? | |||||||
| Some people think it's about getting richer, or having good relationships with people, or a successful career. But you can have all these things and not have peace or happiness. | |||||||
| Perfect People | |||||||
| Some people think Christians are "perfect people" - or pious people! But they're not! What is different about Christians is that they have confessed to God that they are NOT perfect, that they've made many mistakes and done many things wrong in their lives. Then they have received the forgiveness that only Jesus Christ can give. | |||||||
| Jesus is not a harsh judge - he loves you and welcomes you with open arms. | |||||||
| He can sympathise with your difficulties and trials. He's been there himself. He knew we'd never be able to make it as "perfect people", so he came to earth as a human being and did it for us! Then he died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins which you and I have committed. | |||||||
| You can experience God's forgiveness and love right now, as you sit at your computer. All you need to do is give serious thought to these vital issues: | |||||||
| 1. Accept that you do not, and never can, come up to God's standard of perfection (for example, the 10 commandments) - and that you've done things wrong in your life. | |||||||
| 2. Understand that you therefore need forgiveness and reconciliation with God | |||||||
| 3. Believe the good news: that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died in your place and all you need to do is to accept His sacrifice for you. "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 | |||||||
| Jesus is personally concerned about you - he cares for you and wants you to put your trust in him as a baby trusts its mother. | |||||||
| "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matt 11:28) | |||||||
| "Whoever comes to me I will never drive away" - Jesus. | |||||||
