| A Social Gospel | |||||||
| The area of Stoke-on-Trent has experienced much unemployment and economic setback in recent years. We believe that the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ is vital to the restoration of our region - not only spiritually and morally, but also in terms of financial blessing. We therefore both pray and work towards seeing a renewal of the prosperity and thriving business that once existed here. The Lord Jesus Christ is able to remove any curse - be it of depression, illness or poverty: | |||||||
| "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chron 7:14 | |||||||
| The Potter's House | |||||||
| Our vision is that the glory of God would be seen in the city of Stoke-on-Trent. That is, that people would come to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour and that they would then go on to become disciples: | |||||||
| The Lord imparted the vision that He would use the difficult circumstances of life to "mould and shape" the Church in this region, famous for it's clay and ceramics industry. Stoke would then become "the Potter's House". | |||||||
| Family of God | |||||||
| As a church, Cornerstone Christian Fellowship functions as a family which supports, accepts and loves each other. We seek to see members grow in the saving knowledge of Jesus by the love of God in us. | |||||||
